Shackleton's Antarctica (1915)

In a very interesting post, How to be a Retronaut offers us the famous pictures that Frank Hurley took during Sir Ernest Shackleton's Endurance Expedition to the Antarctica from 1914 to 1917. Hurley was the official photographer of the expedition and when the ship became trapped in the antarctic ice and was eventually crashed by it, he managed to salvage the photographic plates by diving into mushi ice-water inside the sinking ship in October 1915.
