As cuts are set countrywide in the UK to decimate the libraries service, West Somerset communities have been looking for ways to save them. This county is about to withdraw funding to 20 out of 34 libraries, as well as four of six mobile libraries.
A country campaign, including a petition, has been launched to make those plans be reviewed. And I want to help a little to spread the voice from here as well.
Details on how to sign the petition can be found here.
The campaign includes this film, an independent project in support of the Friends of Somerset's Libraries - a coalition of library campaigners in the West of England with media support from the Friends of Glastonbury Library & the Friends of Shepton Mallet Library.
